No Hot Water
Water Heater Issues Are One Of The Most Common Reasons Why People Call Plumbers.
If this issue arises, there are a few steps to take to determine if the hot water issue can be repaired without calling me:
- For those who have a gas water heater with a pilot light, make sure the light is lit.
- Ensure the temperature setting on the water heater is set high enough to provide adequate amounts of hot water.
- Check to make sure the water heater is big enough to meet one’s needs.
- Check to see that the hot water temperature relief valve is not leaking. This can be caused by the buildup of calcium around the valve. The valve is located near the top of the heater normally opposite to the hot water outlet pipe.
You May Not Have Hot Water Because Leaking Pipe.
Another reason you may not have hot water is because a pipe may be leaking somewhere on the water service. Listen for the sound of hissing or the sound of running water, make sure all the taps are off and go and check your water meter to see if it is still running. If there is no notable sign of leaking water but you can see the water meter turning over call me or if you can see an unusual wet patch on the wall or around the garden call me, I can fix it so call me.
